Hong Kong - 1st Day

We woke up not that early because this time we going to drive to Singapore by our own and my aunt will send us to the airport...
The airport is just 15mins away from her house...
However, before we depart from house I checked the time schedule from the internet...
And knew that the flight had delayed...
It is very saddening cause all our itinerary had jumbled up... And our time for our trip had been shortened...

Departure schedule

We have still plenty of time in Singapore thus we went in to my aunt house and played with the frog my aunt reared...
It is pretty fun...
When you talk to it, it will reply what you said and you can see the tummy moving or burping...
1 out of 5 frog

Then we headed to market for morning tea
Curry rice

White Fried Carrot Cake

At home my aunt also cooked "Shark Fin Soup" before us boarding because she scared us to starve on board...
After we checked in Budget Terminal, my aunt brought us to Terminal 1 to buy Bengawan Solo and also had some fruits in the food court before us boarding back to budget terminal...

And yea... Finally we left Singapore...

Upon arrival, we had to take the shuttle train to the main arrival hall for immigration check

After we claimed our luggage we also had to contact my sis friend which is waiting for us in Hong Kong...
Then I realized their public phone to be so high tech as well...
No coin? Use credit card
Then we took the Airport Express Train to the city...
It is very similar to ERL...
But never took ERL before...

Then we transit at Hong Kong station to take MTR to Mong Kong
Our accommodation in Hong Kong is a very budget hostel in Mong Kok area...
It is very very convenient because just 2mins walk from the Mong Kok MTR station...
For a double bed with a private toilet it is just 260HKD per night...
You can never find a better deal than this if you don't mind the environment of the hostel...
The corridor

The very very small toilet and a bit... er hem... "dirty"
I can hardly turn myself in the toilet even I'm alone...
It is definitely only can fit in for 1 person ONLY

The mini double bed

Air con and LCD TV
After settled down with our luggage then we headed out for our dinner...
And yea, we are of course starving...
By the time we reached Mong Kong already 9pm

The night street along Mong Kok area...

We headed to a Vietnamese Restaurant to had our dinner/supper...
Angel, my sis's ex-colleague in Singapore

The wonderful dinner for 4 person

It's too much for us to finish...
By the time we finished, it's about 12am and the shop is closing...
So we went to sweet dessert shop nearby and had the famous dessert in Hong Kong...
Ya... The cincau dessert...

Many different dessert available...
Because we are very full after dinner/supper then we just ordered 2 to taste it...
Yam flavoured, cincau with it and also some santan...
The yam flavoured paste is very very smooth...
Don't know how did they made it...

This is red bean sago... The red bean paste is also same thing, very very smooth...

By the time we left the dessert shop it's 1.30am and some boutique still open...
So we just looked around...
But it's getting late and we have to left very early the next morning for few destination...
So we headed back to the hostel...
The very unexpected view during the night

And the old building tower...
And that's my first day of trip...
There's more adventurous thing in upcoming post! =)
